JFCY's Annual Fundraiser at the Gladstone will be held on the evening of November 12, 2010. JFCY and the G20 Story Project: We are collecting stories from youth about their interactions with law enforcement officers during the G20 summit. Our Policy Committee will create a report based on their legal analysis of the stories. Recommendations based on their analysis will be shared with relevant government agencies, politicians, and the public. If you would like to share your story, please fill out the “G20 Story Project” form. If you are assisting a youth tell their G20 story, please read our background and instruction sheet. You may also be interested in the presentation by the SYLS lawyer entitled: ‘What to Do About Negative Police Interactions’ that was presented at a Police Complaints Workshop, for staff at the Evergreen Centre for Street Youth. In addition: The Canadian Civil Liberties Association is collecting incident reports - please visit their website at www.ccla.org. These incidents may be kept confidential. The G20 inquiry website -www.g20inquiry.org - is for anyone wanting to share their story. The stories will be public and aim towards seeking a public inquiry.
