UN Convention on the Rights of the Child or International Children’s Rights


In 1991 Canada ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.  It is the most widely accepted international treaty in the world.  Canada has made a commitment to implementing the Convention in Canada and educating children and youth about it.  Justice for Children and Youth relies on the Convention in most of its legal work by arguing that Canadian laws must comply with it.  For more information see below:
